A friend of mine took a picture of their ice cream here and it looked really big. This French-style ice cream parlour opened pretty recently so we decided to check it out.
The person who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable. She proactively gave us samples of their more popular or recommended flavours which was nice. The decor was also really nice.
After (too) much deliberation, we decided to get three scoops ($8.50) – creme caramel, vanilla, and matcha sesame — the only one I really chose was the creme caramel.
On top of the ice cream was a hard peppermint marshmallow.
The vanilla one was, well, vanilla. As in, it wasn’t that interesting and the vanilla was too subtle for me. But I could tell they used real vanilla. The creme caramel was probably the one I liked the most, although the matcha sesame wasn’t too bad in terms of flavour.
The texture of the ice cream was very smooth. There was a couple parts which were slightly icy but overall it was smooth and rich. The flavours in general however, were a bit on the subtle side, and I prefer the selection of flavours elsewhere, like at Earnest or Rain or Shine.
