Stumbled here on a Friday evening with some new friends. They hadn’t tried this kind of food before and it can be really filling and delicious when done right.
Their menu was kind of confusing. After some deliberation I decided to go with the lamb/beef sandwich.
The buns are grilled and then you can choose your own sauces and vegetable toppings like lettuce, tomato, cucumber, etc.
The sandwich was quite disappointing and I think the pita would have been better suited for donair meat. That being said, I got the sandwich because it was smaller and I didn’t want to be too full.
The meat was a bit tender but it wasn’t really that flavourful and I was expecting it to be even more tender. There also wasn’t a lot of meat at all. The bun was quite large and airy and I thought took up too much space, making it difficult to taste the other parts of the sandwich. Despite having been grilled, the buns were cold, too soft, and became a bit soggy quite quickly. All you could really taste was cold bun, sauce, and some vegetables.
Overall, this was a pretty sad meal and I would not recommend this place.
Would return: nope.
