Came here for dinner alone after work before going to an event. I’d heard about this place from some coworkers so I decided to check it out myself.
It looked pretty good. Each piece was slightly bigger than bite size which was a bit awkward. Each piece was topped with saba but came with some salmon and tuna as well in the middle of the rice.
The rice wasn’t cold and the texture was good. It was seasoned but could have used a bit more seasoning or just less rice per piece. Overall though, I liked it.
I liked the hamachi one the best followed by the toro. Although the hamachi was a bit small, it was relatively fatty.
The chopped scallop pieces were too small, and you couldn’t taste much of the scallop. Also, the rice was cold and the seaweed chewy.
The unagi was okay. It was slightly warm and had a nice seared flavour.
For the nigiri in general though, the rice was a bit too cold and something was a bit off with the texture.
Overall the sushi wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure I’d return.
