I was trying to find a pizza place for takeout but came across this instead. Came here at 12:30 on a weekday and it was pretty full, but I was alone.
The ramen took about seven minutes to arrive, which in my opinion was quite long for just the original ramen. I was also in a rush however because I told my friend I would meet him after getting pizza takeout.
Chicken creamy broth made every morning. It was surprisingly pretty good with a lot of depth and felt quite rich, although the flavours were more gentle than tonkotsu or miso.
The pork was quite soft, a bit softer than that of Danbo but not as soft as Jinya.
I liked the addition of the seaweed, which wasn’t what I was expecting. On one hand, it did make the ramen harder to eat because it was hot and wouldn’t cool the same way as the noodles; but it also provided an interesting and distinct flavour and I think elevated the mild chicken broth.
The noodles were thin noodles, which I think were okay, although perhaps they were a bit soft for my tastes.
Overall, it was a solid bowl of ramen and the service was generally friendly with a good view of the kitchen.
Would return: yes
